Uhauls might clear it now, but Penskes and Ryders are 13'6" like us. They'll still strike it

Easier to lower the roadway than it is to raise the above area.

Even with all signage, metal bar and LED LIGHTING UPGRADES they did to warn drivers about the low clearance of that particular bridge people still don’t know how to take a hint!!!D.Tibbitt, Bud A., FlaSwampRat and 1 other person Thank this. -
FlaSwampRat Thanks this.

When you look at the site on Google Maps, if you turn left at the light then go one block you can turn right across the RR tracks at a grade level crossing. Seems a large sign showing the route would be less costly than the replacement of bridge beams.
Bud A. Thanks this. -
That would only work if drivers would actually READ the signs.
That bridge is a clear case of they don't. LOL
Just like the port. Signs says OPEN WHEN FLASHING. And every trucker still rolls through with no flashing lights. -

That's just a bigger risk for inspection. If the lot is empty. And they're actually working.
Keeping in mind. This is during working hours. Not at night when they ARE actually closed.
They close during the day. Even though they're not actually closed. Just not rolling trucks through at the current moment.Last edited: Nov 3, 2019
