Try some companies that give 2nd chances to drivers with something in their background.
Apply with these companies, even if you don't think you qualify.
These hire from private cdl schools also:
    Western Express
    Roadtex Transportation
    Youngs Transport - Fresno,CA
    Robertson's Ready Mix
    Southern Refrigerated Transport
    May Trucking Company
    Covenant Transport
    Freymiller - www.drive4freymiller.com
    American Trucking Group - www.americantruckinggroup.com

How would a customer even know if the driver had a record, Other than a few places where drivers have to pass background checks (stringent) like nuclear power houses and some places on military installations, I do not recall any general freight customer or broker ever asking me if a driver had a criminal record.

I can sure see a company not wanting a guy that has had a tendacy to make terroristic threats in their truck anywhere at all though.
There are places a guy with a felony record can't work, like any company that requires their drivers to be able to cross the canadian border, but there are literally thousands of driving jobs that have nothing to do with the big mega companies, and to my way of thinking many of them would be prefferable.

It seems like it was swift 15 years or so back, that had some kind of government incentive to hire ex cons, It was about the same time that flying J did.
There are literally thousands of felons driving trucks up to and including convicted murderers, and who cares if they have paid their debt to society. There are probably many thousands more that would be that were just never caught. lol
