I looked at there company website, they had no payscale, said they paid hourly for training, safe record bonuses, recruitment bonuses.

I am sorry you feel that way but you must have us confused with someone else we are located in Little Rock, AR not N Little Rock and have been for more than 6 years. we run a very Professional Terminal and Safety is always first. we have not ran Gas for more than 3.5 years and would never allow a Driver to pull a tanker that was leaking! I can only assume that you are a disgruntled ex employee and I am sorry you feel the need to put down a Reptuable company to make yourself feel better about losing your job. Best of wishes to you and hope that you have found a happy home.

I have never worked for Groendyke Transport but grew up and live in the same town that is home to the company headquarters and have friends that work their. They are very much into safety and training more then any company I have ever seen. They have a lot of drivers that have been their for 20 plus years but I think the pay could be better compared to other driving jobs I guess that is the only reason I have never worked their. They are a very professional company and you see that in their drivers, all wear uniforms and keep their equipment clean, no sweat pants and holy t-shirts. They do have safety people driving around in company cars that will sometimes check you out like the DOT maybe even better. I hardly ever see an add for hiring drivers, maybe just in the big cities. I think if you want to do tankers and get the training a driver really needs this company would be a good start. Good Luck.

As far as pay goes, it varies from terminal to terminal. Some are percentage, others are paid milage. I just talked to a guy who has been there 11 yrs. He gets .48 a mile.
Also what they haul depends on the terminal. Some are chemical, some gas/diesel, and others are vegetable oil.

Depends on which terminal. I would stay away from the Hutchinson, Kansas terminal. Unless you like working half the week and staying out all weekends. I spent the past 2 days sitting in a truck stop...that don't pay the bills. The dispatchers have little to no experience. You drive more empty miles than loaded. My friend is averaging $75 a day. I would not recommend this company!!

They have a terrible safety record. SafeStat lists all the accidents and moving violations!!

Groendyke doesn't care about safety..it's all about money!!

I worked for the company and I can tell you that my friend and I both made an average of $450 weekly..averaged $75 a day. You don't get paid for training. They made me sit 2 days at a truck stop so I could load a $60 load. The company gives you a $100 for every million miles driven without an accident. Check out Safestat http://ai.volpe.dot.gov/SafeStat/disclaimer.asp?RedirectedURL=/SafeStat/SafeStatMain.asp

looked at there company website, they had no payscale, said they paid hourly for training, safe record bonuses, recruitment bonuses.

Females usually go get special treatment with company. The only way to make a living with this company is to party with the female dispatchers.

Yes Groendyke makes more money running around empty. Get real, this must have been your first tanker job.

Do you even know how to read a safe stat report? They have a pretty good safety record for a company their size. Get your facts straight before posting.

That is the stupidest thing I have heard yet on here. Did you really ever work for this company? You remind me of a driver that sits in the truck stop all day talking BS to anyone that will listen and you don't make any money no matter who your driving for.
