Why are so-called safety features so annoying?

 

All the rest of the Volvo driver's I see just cut their fog lights on to make it stop.

 

i find them annoying in my car, as they to me are nannies.....i don't need someone or something, watching over me, and correcting me.

think of it this way, is a driver cam annoying if it's pointed at you..??

is it annoying to you, if you get called into the safety dept cuz your event was captured on video?

is it annoying when your ELD barks at you..??

 

I guess in this day in age we have to be REMINDED to be safe. Hmm

 

Yes! Yes! Yes, to all of the above.

Pardon me while I find my happy place.

 

And being annoyed whilst driving can cause one to become distracted.

 

I can't dispute that wisdom.

Worst advice ever.

The temp sensor is linked to the ECM as important information like cold start or heating the DEF system.
There are grill covers on the market that can be entirely closed which is a killer. The sensor fools the ECM with a wrong reading, the ECM shuts down the DEF heat, DEF freezes, ECM shuts down truck.
Truck needs to be towed in shop, while waiting for a mechanic, the system thaws up and nothing wrong can be found.
