I've been driving for a little over 6 years now mostly in the oil field hauling equipment and pipe but want to get back out on the road. I gave TMC a try for a few months but the home time and pay wasn't anywhere near what they said it would be, which didn't surprise me but I did expect more miles. Right now I just got through moving a rig and this Wed we have to start moving another one so the oil field is keeping me busy but not as much as it did in the past.
Ok one thing I was wondering about Swift is during your home time what do you do with the rig? Is it parked at your home if you have the space or do you have to leave it at a terminal? What mind of home time is Swift drifers getting? And what type of mileage are the drivers getting?
Last one. I saw some stuff about Swifts training program but it looked like training for new drivers who have never been in a truck, what training does experianced drivers have to go through and would they consider hauling equipment in the oil field over the road experiance? I only ask that because I have been told some companies don't consider it over the road experiance because most of the time we don't drive over 100 air miles. But if they looked at some of the oversized loads I have had to haul and some of the places I have had to take those loads they might consider me experianced.

Doubtful. Running local they won't even consider that exp. You will need to fall in with all the others with no exp.
