Truck stops adding national chain restaurants

this is certainly happening more and more. first, it cuts down on the truck stop's own payroll, and benefits.

the eateries pay a lease for x amount of time, hire the workers.

this can be either a benefit or disappointment to the truckers.

faster service? same menu means no special cooking requirements?

you either take it, or leave it.

most likely, all will go this way.

 

Kentucky Fried Chicken. Just what these fat boys out here need. More unhealthy greasy fast food so they can eat themselves to death.

 

but they will get thier food faster, so they can get to the showers..???

for those that actually DO shower..???

and no tipping..???

 

What they need is Flame Broiler. Flame-broiled beef or chicken on rice and vegetables. That's something I would eat on a regular basis.

 

yeah maybe nowadays, but years ago, they were fine.

long buffet serving counter, fresh food, not stale overly heat lamp warmed foods, great dessert bar, then over time, it went down hill.

 

I have no problem with them parking some Mexican food trucks on the property.

 

everythings "Go Go Go" these days.........
Don't drivers Know how to Relax after working all day to a good home cooked meal?

Pretend you do something else for a living......Punch out at 4pm- Go Home and Wife has Dinner, You sit at table with family...Eat and talk.

Kentucky Fried Chicken and International house of pancakes arent really go to options in my book.

What we need are more "Subways". They are just so hard to find.
