A driver that I dispatch for was just handed his set of BOL's that has 7 stops on it. I booked it with ONE pick up and ONE drop. He didn't get his bol's until they were done loading which is normal. He told them to take the load off and the shipper said they only load and don't have the authority to unload. That could be a problem. But when I sign the rate con I stamp with a notice:

"This rate confirmation is good for ________ pick up and _________ delivery. Any additional pick up or delivery will be at the rate of $500/stop and $2.oo/mile out of route from the above listed pick up and delivery points. Accepting this addendum is considered part of the issued rate confirmation."

    They are unloading him now!!!!!!

They screwed me once. They won't screwed me again.........

You don't want to be posting phone numbers.

Other than that I am happy they are unloading you. You seem to be on top of your game with those rate con legalese.

If he doesn't sign the bills it's not his baby. So they have to unload it.

Rollin Coal,,,, you're absolutely correct. Here's how they try to fool you. They'll put all the bills together in a stack with a couple of loose pieces (these guys called them inspection pages) in the middle. Then they staple the top and put another in the middle of the page (just to hold the internal inspection pages in place) and tell your they are multiple orders without saying anything about multiple stops so you sign the bottoms. These guys are real ########.

What happened to the days when a man's word was worth something??????????????

It would be nice to know who the broker and shipper are that’s trying a stunt like that.

I unstaple the #### things and sit or lean on a post and read them. It has to be whats on the truck and matching the original dispatch order.

Any disrepancy I toss pile back tell them to get it off my truck and contact my company.

They hate me reading it. Sign sign sign hurry up sign. I tell them they are surrounded with bills higher than a man, they can wait 5 #### minutes while I check my ####.

What I personally hate is the old McCormick Spice loads to sysco with 6000 individual boxes in my trailer. Takes them three days to load and about 7 people 4 hours to eliminate with me checking every one. Some of that crap is truly expensive.
