You are absolutely right. They are moving my hours up to try to make it work so I'm not leaving for now, I think we can make something work. You are 110% correct tho, I really do like my job.

I had recently applied with Barr Nunn. Seemed good. Had talked to a driver. Told him about what they offer in my area. He said they'll work with you.
Well gee... They gave me the job. At the same time. All they wanted to talk about was flying. Just bring what you can carry on a plane and live in the truck for a month on that. They didn't want to talk driving. As if I'm a professional Flyer. Not a professional Driver. ... Told them to forget it.Espressolane, D.Tibbitt, thelushlarry and 2 others Thank this. -

A old German saying comes to mind...
One hand washes the other. I have not thought of that in over 40 years. But there it is.
We are making preparations to adopt a cat.
Just a dumb question. Walking into a shelter full of adult cats in a room away from another room full of younger kitties wanting out of their cages... how do you pick a cat? Or how does a cat pick you?
I'll have to sleep on that a little while. The last cat we adopted from there took 6 months to be rational. It was at the shelter two years which hurt it real bad mentally.
The one thing we are doing is building about a foot wide series of steps from the floor along two walls around a corner towards the top of he big window where lots of birds and sun comes in. For a platform for it to pour all over and sleep all day on. Cats love high places.
I just as soon grab a shepard and a pallet of dog food, chain stake it outside and have at it. But no... kittys only. Thats not too bad. As long they are not kittens to babysit 24/7 administering discipline constantly.Dave_in_AZ, FlaSwampRat, WesternPlains and 1 other person Thank this. -
