I'm looking to get into hauling tankers. I have Hazmat, Tankers, Doubles/triples endorsements, but I only have 6 months experience doing flatbed as a oilfield hotshot driver.

I have a job lined up to haul crude oil with a great company here in Oklahoma City, but they can't bring me on until I have 6 months verified experience pulling a tanker. (insurance won't allow it).

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I would prefer to get on somewhere that does regional out of OKC.

    Thanks for the help!

Do you have a cdl school diploma along with your 6 mos. experience?

This company hires drivers right out of cdl school. You should be good to go here.

Stop by the lowest truck stop. Go inside and pick up a few recruiting books. Flip thru the ads and call tanker companies

1st choice for me would be Superior. You get on with them you won't leave.
    2nd would be Trimac
    3rd would be Schnieder Bulk.

Worked for all three, recommending all three.

I received top notch training at Schneider, in my opinion. Once I gained experience, it was no longer a good fit, but they do a great job teaching you about tankers.

Depending on where you live, Venezia lube division can be a good place.

Check out Hawkins chemical if you got them near you.

they pay well and drive old w900s and Mack’s. Sweet ones, not ratted out ones.

    Union pay and benefits.
