Growing up the K100 Aerodyne was my favorite truck out there. I had the chance to drive one very briefly and I was like a kid in a candy store. I'd like to hear from those of you that actually got to drive one day after day. What did you love about the truck? What did you hate? Did you you drive the 86' cab or the 112'? Are you still driving one today?

It was a raised roof cabover, first of its kind, double bunks, some standing room in the back behind the seats. They were sharp trucks.

And the first of their kind.

Quite a to-do when they finally started building that design. The industry thought it was TOO Fancy. But the drivers started asking for them.

I liked them. No reason to give these a hard time. With the exception of half the frame mounted stuff too close to the steers, they could have moved it back by the catwalk.

I thought it was cool to see some fleets using them back in the day but to me it was more of an owner op truck.

When KW came out with the studios and improved on the glass form factor to make them better I lusted after one of those 135,000 dollar tractors for years. Big Kitty, enormous 18 speed, a freaking apartment in the sleeper with everything and 500 gallon fuel tanks on a 280 inch wheel base with setback front axle.

    NOM NOM NOM.

I never did accumulate the 135K to buy one ... sheesh.

They made them before you were alive. About 1984 I think.

We had a trucker tired of fighting headwinds in his Pete cabover. "Why do these things have to be square?"

Presto designed a areo pete cabover that really shook the industry. The first of her kind.

You couldn't walk around around in the back but just the ability to stand up and put your pants on in a cabover was a big deal.
