Whelp. I'm out of 35' trailers. All 28's from here on out, let the amateur hour backing commence lol.

Rough night, lots of tough spots I had to get trailers in (lot was super full). Almost 20 years in doing this and still learning every day. Kinda sucks at the time but now sitting at home knowing that I was able to do things that I previously didn't think I could is a good feeling. I always thought of yard guys as idiots that couldn't make it on the road, I am now starting to see that it can be quite the opposite at times.

I made a bet one time with my old buddie who became yard jockey at one of the home depot dc up in utah i used to go to all the time.. All the trailers there u have to blindside into the dock there is no room to turn around to sight side it .. I made a $100 bet with him i get get my trailer in faster than him and with less pull ups , he didnt hesitate to take my bet... I went first and it took me about 5-10 minutes to get it in to the hole with probably 10 or more pull ups..he sitting there with a big ol grin on his face ...
i unhook from trailer , he hooks up to it and resets to blindside it. He turned that ####ing trailer blindside and put it in in one try!! no pull ups to straighten out, no resets nothing!
I about fell on the ground laughing so hard... Mind u i was doing it with my sleeper truck and him with his yard jockey truck, both spread axle trailers...but it sure was #### impressive , i learned not to mess with the yard jockeys anymore after that lolRidgeRunner731, Rocks, x1Heavy and 9 others Thank this. -

I just didn’t sleep well the night before. Woke up behind the 8 ball and then it took me almost an hour to go 9 miles to a place I had to blindside in off a busy street into a full parking lot of cars, did it with one pull up. The rest were about the same. The last stop had a hard appointment times and are known to make you wait or reschedule if you’re late. I was running late all day and pushed myself to get caught up. I got myself ahead and was maybe 5 minutes early. The last stop was a big yard and the guy said pick any open dock you want. We all know that cursed me. 5-6 pull ups later I was at the dock. After all that tailgating the load I had to get out of LA and make some serious miles before I ran out of time.
I parked where I needed to get to and was asleep like 4 minutes later.
Good day. Just tiring. Besides I like the exercise. But yeah it beat the #### out of me. -
Just realized I didn’t eat yesterday.
