I’ve had a similar experience/problem with mine. It made it to 745k miles, but blew 3 cylinder sleeves about 2 weeks after DPF delete. Also, I’m being told that the Detroit DD15 motors are only lasting approximately 100k miles post rebuild. Apparently, Detroit is aware of this problem and unwilling to take responsibility for it. I’m told that following the rebuild of the motor, the lower rear bearings lock up. Has anyone else heard of this?

I also had same thing happen 2 weeks after delete. A cylinder sleeve let go, was told later that the EGR shouldn’t have been disabled. The shop that did the delete just went into ECM and moved switches. Now looking at used engines, I got a 2012 Cascadia with DD15, does anyone know if a 2014 engine will swap with the 2012??

That's exactly what a colleague of mine experienced. Oil pressure warning, buzzer, engine gone within a few seconds before she even could pull over. 60 000 Loonies later, she was back on the road with a sparkling new DD15.Jarhed1964 Thanks this.
