Good Night From II

They did a 'fix' Sunday evening telling us to power down the QC and then bring it back up.
Powering down means pulling the plug or turning the battery cut off switch for at least 5 minutes.
90 minutes later they sent another message to NOT do that.
Sloppy tech support.

It was also, and a bit more, sloppy to let this problem arise in the first place. They had plenty of warning and knew it would happen.
Maybe their tech 'wizards' could not figure out the problem before it happened?

My confidence in autonomous trucks just went down several notches.
And it was not high to begin with.

 

And thats the thing, ive got several updates since. But this truck apparently haven't got the right one yet. Didnt even crank it over for the first time but yesterday. It was sitting as new inventory. Probably a few behind. And ive seen some trucks on the flatbed fleet get some updates 3months later. Or worse. Everyone kept going on about the 4mph drive line thing for like 6 momths before i ever recived that update. And i used to kill the power completely every weekend.

Itll catch up eventually.... Heck it might work in the morning, i wont really know till i move it again. Other than for the weird date maybe.

Arrival Macs worked and got fuel route on qc.
Came here for my 10 since I only had 2 hrs left on 70. Wasn't sure I could have made it to the casino at the nevada/Oregon border

 

Picked up a van and loaded it full of Cans, taking that too La Mirada CA, had to stop halfway, nausea, fever, joint pain. Too much at night. Lost those symptoms, now coughing up stuff and getting a bit of a cold swet. But head is right, so thats good.

Tcalled the load and went to the shop to.let them.know the trailer red the federal inspection. Was due 10/19 and the 6 month was due 4/19.
Dl said loads wetre scarce out of here Nd went and asked at the window and he said the same.
When I stopped at the lives in Fernley nv to get fuel, a trooper was giving another swift driver an inspection as I drove by. Got a bit nervous since I knew about the inspection being out. Got done and he was gone which .are me more nervous lol. Was hoping he still be doing it when I left. But didn't see him after I left

Tcalled that load to sparks terminal yesterday. Still had 6 hrs on 11.
Went to shop to let them know about the federal inspection being needed.
Sat the test of the day so walked over to the Petro for dinner.
Woke up at 2am to this trip.
Deadheaded me here. Got lucky and found an mt trailer in the terminal.
Just message planner by Mac 10 to see if I am getting a load out of here. If doesn't answer quickly, gonna head over to the flying j for the nite.
They made the deadhead like a load. So I had to show up and do all the macros. Still have empty.

Delivered that load to jb hunt in Las Vegas.
Drive over to the dropyard and got this load going to buckeye az for a 1100 live unload tomorrow.
First stopped a the Petro in Kingman and saw I had 167 miles to final and still had 3h55 m left to drive. So kept on going.
Was gonna stop at the loves i buckeye but k ew it be full. So drove over to the loves in goes on and that was full. So came here for the nite.
Walked over to panda express for dinner

 

My last day at home, and I cooked a big turkey dinner tonight. It was nice getting the whole family over for it.
The latest addition is my older daughters 7 month old daughter. She is crawling and walking along furniture now. She is pretty fun.

Tomorrow I'll be headed to WI for a pick up, then to TN.

Deliver in Bloomington MN tommorow. My ribs are bruised from coughing #### up so hard. My head is right fortunatly. Picked up in Otay Mesa, at Duran freight, F that place and the horse it rode in. "Make a left at the back of the yard" cant trailer is in the way and i have a few extra feet of tractor anyway. So i i make a right and back to the drop lot. Pull in to an aisle, back up turn around, now facing drop lot, go in drop lot, hit dead end, screw it, empty goes here.

Find loaded trailer,,, with whole row of trailers in front of it. Had to play yard doggy and clear 2 trailers out the way till i could physically pull it out.


Been running and hitting the nyquill every night to try to get over this bug.

Screwy thing was, i saw another flatbed truck pulling a van too. Tis the season i guess.
