I'm not a Roehl driver...but I do know that the Qualcomm is not an accurate source for MPG readings. My company knows this too...
My Qualcomm says 6.8...my fuel bonus I got paid said 7.4, its funny that me and the above poster have about the same deviation there don't you think...Roehl should know this too.

Ridgerunner,
thanks for the response, and yes, I have noticed that the mpg on the qualcom is off. My first truck it was 1mpg high, and this truck it's almost 1mpg low. But what I was talking about is when we fill up with fuel, we send a message in telling someone that our tanks have been filled. Then about 10 - 20 min later we get a message saying...
"Your mpg on last fill up was 6.0 and your goal is 6.7mpg" Thats the mpg rate that I was refering to, just to clairify. -
Ahhh...I see.
Its impossible to average 6.7 all the time...some tanks I get 6.5, some tanks I get 7.8, it just depends on the loads I get and where they go.
One thing though...some of you may be going too slow, if the load is heavy my truck does better at 63 (1375 rpm) than it does at 60 mph (1300 rpm).
Empty I do 55 (1200 rpm) ...sometimes I don't have time to go that skow but usually I do.
Up to 70,000 lbs gross weight I do 60 mph (1300 rpm)
Over 70,000 lbs I do 63 (1375 rpm).
My overall average is 7.4 mpg...since I started keeping up with it, it has not changed. It varies from tank to tank and load to load...but the overall average stays the same.
ETA: And that 7.4 mpg is with an average idle time of around 32%. (I am going to sleep comfy...if its too hot or too cold, I will idle the truck) -
Hey Ridge,
Just curious, what kind of truck / engine combo are you running? -
Maverick truck...2007 Freightliner 515 Detroit...these engines are not castrated though, they will turn 1800 rpm's in every gear except 10th...only the speed is limited, the power is NOT turned down.
