On a lighter side. Did a sight side back on the S dock in St. Cloud.

 

I sat in Trenton for 3 hours this morning waiting for another load. Finally decide to do a little laundry, bam, load! Delivers Monday, 500 some miles...pssh. Fine...so I keep the laundry going. Oh, wait, dispatch says to take it to Weedsport. I thought I was going to have a totally trash week like Keen98. Might be able to get to 2500 again if dispatch gets its act together. A lot of grumpy people in Trenton...and not grumpy about sitting but about stupid communication issues with dispatch.

Every morning I deliver and hit dispatch and I get zero response for hours.

Anyway, Meijer DC in Tipp City is a clusterbomb. That BULLPEN is ########. Grab an empty out of there if there is one. Glad I didn't see a Millis one because there's no way to get any of those empties out with all the incoming trucks having to park in there to check in.

I'm at the Lodi Pilot. Did I miss something? Every truck that is coming in is backing into a spot...mostly blindsiding into the spots along the edge. The lot is mostly empty otherwise...why not just pull through? Saw a guy spend half an hour blindsiding into a spot. DUDE, just pull into any of the hundred other spots and finish your day!

And how come every time I go to Miller in Trenton, I bring in a nice new empty, and I get stuck with a piece of junk loaded trailer? First time was an old GP where the landing gear was garbage, this time I bring in a 15 and get a 15. My 15 had a pristine landing gear. The loaded one was a pain in the ### to crank, rusted trash. And the door was a real pain to open and close.

 

It’s kind of weird but I have had the best of luck with the 12s. It must have been a good year for landing gear parts that year. They crank up and down better than the 19s.

 

I prefer those old GP.and AB trailers. No goofy tails and skirts. The trailers seem to be better made than our normal.trailers in spite of them being made by the same company.

 

Also, the security guard at Pinnacle Foods in St. Elmo wants me to let everybody know that you can't hang out around back when you deliver here on the weekends. Even if you're just waiting for your next load you must come up front.

 

Can we hang up front then or do we have to leave?

 

Has anyone parked overnight on the street outside Midwest whse?

 

I guess you can hang out up there. She just talked like they didn't want anybody hanging out back in the back while they were closed on the weekend.

 

I never have but I've got there with other trucks parked overnight there

 

I hung out back there waiting for my dispatch to Conagra. But I suppose it was the week.

Well, I thought this week would be trash when I was in the black hole of Trenton on Friday, but I'll have 2700 at 4 tomorrow morning with 6:30 left on the 70.
