How's the brightness of those? I don't doubt the heaters of JW Speaker headlights, I've heard nothing but rave reviews, but since coming to prefer LED's I've got to start shopping for a Pinnacle CHU. The regular halogens won't cut it.

The Whiteshell is still one of my favourite areas of Manitoba. We have a friend who has a family cabin on Hawk Lake (not West Hawk in MB, "East" Hawk Lake in ON) and I could spend the rest of my lift living on that lake. There's a hunting/fishing lodge and 14 other cabins on the land-locked lake and it's just a beautiful region so many people don't get to see stopping in Kenora.

I stayed at Falcon Lake for a few days. I was kinda pissed because I didn't realize it was the 50th anniversary of The Falcon Lake Incident the week before and they were taking people on tours up to the spot. I enjoyed the time there though.

Our vets give up so much to keep us safe and when they come home they don't get the help/respect they deserve

Its disgusting. When I was a kid, EVERYONE wore a poppy. I walked around the mall yesterday and I'd say close to half the folks shopping never had one on. Then again when these immigrants (refugees) we've been letting in didn't have the gall to stay and fight for their own country, can't really expect them to understand the sacrifices our military men and women made.

I stopped by the table the Legion had set up at Walmart last week and gave them a $20 for a poppy. They asked me how much change I wanted. "What? None! The $20 is my donation!" The Veteran at the table looked shocked and suprised when I thanked him for his service too. That's kind of sad when you think about it. People don't appreciate these brave men and women as much as they deserve.

True enough, but those of us that were around during Viet Nam can remember Vets being shunned by their own country. That can never happen again.

I couldn't even fathom the things they saw in combat.
