Almost got rear ended tonight. We had bad weather. Much ice still around and on roads. People driving irresponsibly. Guy following me too close. I went to turn into my destination. Had blinker on. Then applied brakes. He hit brakes and the P/U just kept coming at me. I let off the brake. He almost hit me. Steered sliding into my entrance. I hit the brakes a second time. Entered in second entrance.
I couldn't have afforded a wrecked car tonight. Gotta leave for Nebraska in the morning. Don't need that hassle.

I also went through a car wash on the way home. With it 6 degrees out. There is risk you'll freeze the doors shut. Won't be able to get out. I had to risk having to sit in my garage with motor running to warm up the car. Almost no mess to make of the car when it's this cold going home. It was a disaster from today when warmer. So I did it. No problem. Car looks half way decent now. I can leave it in the garage while I'm away at work.

EDIT: Want to add. Training and experience driving a truck helped me tonight. Gotten in the habit of "Stay away from me!"... on all sides. I had my eye on him. Good ole Champ just had to do it. I don't like them there even with the roads in ok shape. No place near me. Get the H! away from me!

Is this the appropriate time to raise the question if people and there animals start to look like each other?

Good job Mr..... glad for you... :yes2557: I know what you are saying about "Get the H! away from me!"... :biggrin_1square1:

I do the same thing.... keep watching them on my flat mirrors... and sooo many times I caught them coming too close to the truck and trailer because they were distracted with something in the car... that's when I open my window (if it's not already open), put my hand outside and look really angry at them and tell them to move the H away from me! :biggrin_25516: And they always do... :biggrin_25519:
