Cleaner i use on my 955 when the volume dies off..Spray the bolume pot, wait 10 min and re connect..
Im on my 2nd 955 and love it....
On my 1st 447hpc2 and love it but it has flaws...Heat sinc needs a re design along the lines of 955/655...Would be nice of the front end had a switch for roger beeps and side band..
Otherwise in my eyes they are awsome..

Yep Deoxit is what I think Hard Drive uses in his video, but all I had was contact cleaner so I used it and it worked. If it happens again I'll bring in a can of Deoxit

Yes indeed. I would not spray anything inside my beloved 655 unless I was 100% sure

All this Stryker talk made me bring the 655 on this trip instead of my Anytone.

    She's working like a champ!

My trusty 490HP is still hanging in there. I swear this radio has been to all the lower 48 states and parts of Canada. I just can’t part with it although I really should upgrade at some point.

Does anyone ever have any problems hearing smaller radios with their Stryker's? I can hear guys that also run radios with power behind them just fine and for miles, but when I try and talk to some other people I can barely hear them for some reason on my 655. I just have the squelch turned up enough to cover the normal static. Seems like other people around me can hear them just fine, as I can hear them respond to said driver, but I cant hear them. Using a wilson 5000 antenna and brand new coax.

I find the "pre-amp" feature on an Italy KL 203P amplifier helps a lot in low-level reception situations. Just flip a switch and the incoming signal is amplified, which often makes the difference. I don't run it all the time, because it can also amplify unwanted extraneous noise as well.

Why put a 100w amp on a 70-80 watt radio??
Alot of $ and extra work n such just for a lil better rec..
Still gotta turn radio power down to about 1.5 watts...
If thats what ya did it make zero sence to me..
