Same here, When I went to work for a 12 truck outfit I took a drug test, filled out some papers, then they gave me a load and threw me the keys to the truck, no drive test required.

I have a lot of experience and my record got screwed up also bc of a DUI so after that I hauled flatbed lumber for a while in a ####ty old international sleeper truck that went 100mph and then I hauled oversized loads for a construction company in a ####ty mack pinnacle daycab until they layed me off for whatever reason maybe bc too much $$? I went back to OTR recently and TransAm trucking took me in with my record and criminal background. They're giving me unlimited miles no bs in a 2020 Kenworth sleeper. The truck is premium but slow. The supertruckers pass me having no idea I was the crazy #### going 100mph down 7% grades loaded and they think I'm a rookie. I don't care what people think about me. I know who the #### I am. My opinion honestly is that this forum is filled with a bunch of lazy idiot wannabes that have no idea what they are talking about. A small mom and pop outfit will be the quickest to #### you over and leave you broke. I've hauled everything there is besides live animals pretty much and done every gig u can think of. Nothing wrong with a mega or even hell leasing a truck. Don't listen to all the losers that don't wanna drive 600 miles a day. They will say you will fail. I say they are wrong and u can pull $1000 a week even at a carrier noobs on here say are ####. They are the failure. Not the carrier

I don't like to drive at all, but since my haul is 506 miles, if I leave the house I will drive that far at least, usually part way back too. But I try really really hard to only do that twice a week. lol

Well trucking isn't for you then. I pulled containers in 2017 for Cowan container to volvo plant off i81 700 miles a day I was killing it in a old 99 freightliner classic coffin sleeper 600 horsepower blowing doors off every truck on the road
