I understand lol...I have seen it go really wrong if the wrong person does it lol. Like @tony97905 said it seems like more work that way. Till my shoulders got this bad I could make better time the right way.....no days time isn't so much a factor as not hurting so bad when it's over.

Seriously fellas I have an OTC clutch jack I would ship to any of ya's to keep from seeing you get hurt with bottle Jack's and a pipe. Not saying anything bad about it....I understand we all da what we gotta to get the job done. Just sayin fingers are important

Fell in love with a Gray trans jack and clutch jack. But now self employee, just made a adapter for floor jack. But spend alot of years just putting them in by hand.

Like you and @tony97905 said it can go wrong. That's why I wont advise to do it. I'm lazy. I want that clutch to last along as possible. New bolts, torqued in pattern. The other issue is to many guys end up with weight of the trans on the input shaft and wonder why it releases like sheet. It can bind the plates. I'll take my time and it takes longer. But I dont do them F-----ers twice.

If I did more clutches, I'd take ya up on that! But since its rare for me, I wouldn't be able to find it when I need it! Instead, I'll continue to use my input shaft with a handle welded to it... and after the job is done, spending some time reconsidering my wheaties diet.
