No disrespect taken. That is the right way to fix it. Heck I put a whole new engine in mine because of 1 bad cam lobe...

Just wanted you to know there are alternative to what the main stream answer is.

sometimes people get all worked up about something like this. The reality is it would probably run a year or more with little to no ill effects.

I’m glad you have the resources to just take care of it and not have to look back.

I’ve been trying for years to talk myself into setting up a outfit like that: really can’t justify it to myself at this point.

 

If I was in you shoes I'd make the same decision. Those of us that can't tear down and rebuild an engine like it was eatin' lunch got it rough.
