In short without a doubt the best company i've ever drove for. They don't tell you what you want to here to get u through the door. They will tell you what it will be over here and thats exactly what it is. I myself along with most drivers over here turn in between 3200-3600 miles per week. That my friends is the gods honest truth. Give them a call you won't regret it thats for sure.:biggrin_2556:

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is posted by an office Employee......
nazidriver, get it ? not zee driver...... and only posted once ? if it smells like a dynamic duck and walks like a dynamic duck, its a duck
i drive for them, i don't know anyone who is getting those miles week after week. You'll have good weeks and bad weeks. And yes they will tell you things to get you in the door.
DTS was good for miles, but that is no more since DOT started spanking them. now you match everything with what qualcomm says.
No detention/layover pay, direct deposit, trippak or scanning and you wil sit and get voicemail when you call in.
DTS is not a bad job,but not a good job either

Once a outlaw company when I was there years ago.Made #### good money for a company driver but Fred the owner of the company has been dealing with the DOT for years. He use to pay them off and we ran hard all the time (last pete I got started with 100,000 miles in 6 months I put another 110,000 on the truck running solo it had 210,000 when I burned out for the last time.).But times change and the payoffs are no more so Fred must try to be somewhat compliant these days.
Use to it was nothing to load produce out of cali on monday drop in St. louis market on wensday night p/u a load from the yard same night and unload in cali on friday morning and go home for the weekend.Did this for months then get burned out quit and work local for awhile and go back and do it for a few months more.

Then there where the double and triple loads in one trailer going to cali always over gross but don't worry Fred would tell you how to get around the scales and if you got cought he would pay the fine.He even posted bail and paid the fines for a friend of mine at the time that got cought in colorado at 120,000lbs gross. But I was younger then and never got cought thankfully I enjoyed the extra money we were paid % of the gross.

Looking back I did have fun there but like I said I was younger and didn't think anything about it.

Well 110,000 in 6 months is 4583 miles a week and that would be hard to sustain unless a person had a VERY dedicated run. I am just saying.

Thats what I said did the same run over and over.
Also it is easy to do when you do the same thing every week and run the way they did back then.Like I said DOT did not really do anything as far as audits go Fred kept them paid.
It was all about how hard do you want to run.

Thats how it was, We all did weeks like that most of the time until April when DOT castrated DTS. Now they want to suspend drivers if they outrun hrs to make delivery on time.....
And that is why some posted that bunch of lies on the OP

Been here at Dynamic for 6 months and so far so good. As with any company, it isn't perfect, but I'm generally satisfied with things. I get as many miles as I need 3500 - 4000 + miles per week. I now make $0.37 per mile, having started at $0.35 per mile. I live in NC so only get home about once a month, which is what they promised me before I started. If you live around St Louis, no problem getting home once a week.

Orientation is only a day and a half, with just enough info to send you out the door. It is expected that drivers have experience with reefers, etc. Definitely become friends with a driver whose been there awhile to learn the inside scoop and who is willing to give you their cell number for you to call with questions. It'll save a lot of frustration first month out if you do this. I've met a number of decent people driving for this company and we communicate regularly via cell phone.

The dispatchers are easy to work with and have reasonable expectations of the drivers. The driver has to keep track of their own hours and needs to communicate their availability prior to being dispatched. Been late with one delivery due to weather and blowout. Other than one late delivery some of the deliveries have been close, but have made it on time.

The equipment is okay, at least for a new driver has around 500k miles on it. The problems with the tractor have been taken care of little by little. Other drivers have not been so lucky and break downs seem too frequent, although only once for me.

Details and communication on loads are sometimes lacking, which is fine with me. Sometimes only a name and number. If you're used to being walked through all the info and times, routing, etc, you may find it frustrating. I prefer being able to contact the customer/broker directly and planning my trip with them so I can plan according to my needs, not theoretical hours of availability.

The company still uses paper logs, but expect the driver to match their logs to the Qualcomm. I use a laptop, GPS for trip planning. Having a laptop and/or Blackberry type device is a plus, as e-mail is a convenient way to communicate with the dispatch/office.

    So far so good.

    DoctorEVO,
Sounds like they keep you running pretty good and allow you to make decisions for your self. I have been looking into them and talked to a recruiter and have them on my radar as a company I may drive for. How often would I guy get home living in Oregon? The other question I had for you was she stated detention time was paid depending on the customer have you had any issues with this? Do they usually have you preplanned between loads how often do you sit? If you could answer any of these questions it would be greatly appreciated it would give me a more realistic idea of the whole picture. Thanks in advance Tanker

Hey Tanker, you would probably have an easier time getting home to Oregon than where I live (NC). That said, I like being out on the road a month at a time and every time I have requested going home, I've been routed home right away.

Yes, although I've never needed detention pay, speaking to drivers who have been delayed even up to a day, they have not received any detention pay. Dynamic apparently does not have a clear policy around detention pay.

As far as pre-planning, at first I was not pre-planned, sometimes after being empty, waiting a few hours for my next load info. The worst is when empty in Florida, once sitting almost two days for load info. Now that the dispatchers know how I run, I have begun getting pre-planned on loads before I empty out.

As with all companies, Dynamic is not perfect, but it provides all of what is personally important to me and as jtraran06 pointed out, they don't micro manage you. The dispatchers are all there to keep you running, no personality games.

    What I like about Dynamic:
    1) They keep me rolling, consistent miles, except when I go home.
    2) Decent pay checks, more than covers my house bills with mortgage and still 4 children at home.
    3) Decent equipment, although I did break down once and everyone I know has broken down at least once.
    4) All trailers in excellent condition.
    5) Good dispatchers with realistic expectations of the drivers.
    6) Good support staff.
    7) They leave you alone as long as you do a good job, no micro managing.

What I feel is not perfect. This is for me personally and may not apply to you or other drivers.
    1) I would like runs to the Northeast (most drivers do not)
    2) 24/7 drivers lounge at home terminal. Cleaner bathroom and showers with hot water.
    3) Easier way to get pay envelopes in if I can't get by the yard.
    4) Allow riders (currently no riders allowed), so I can invite my children and girlfriends along.

If you have any more questions, I am happy to answer them based on my experience.

I would definitely look around and compare what is available to Dynamic and see what is the best fit for you.

    Good luck!

tanker, Saddle Tramp and BIG RIGGER Thank this.
