    The 2 times i have had valve stem/guide issues it was chalked up to oil starvation. Ive galled them in the guide and bent pushrods and ive had them float at high rpm and kiss a piston or click a neighbor valve but never broken a stem.

    What do you reckon the cause was there @OLDSKOOLERnWV

    Hah 223K on 1, 258K on the other. They both run fine. It’s not about the brand it’s how your maintenance abilities are.

    Brings back great memories of my late neighbor. She did this our first party outside. I had to call my MaMa to get an explanation on that. Said it ever since :D

    No Sir not last night. I’ve went over everything with a fine tooth comb, although the piston / valve clearance is closer on this setup it will work..... I found the biggest contributor to my problem though, or should I say contributor(s). Some of the problem stems from the machine shop.... oversight on their part but helped create a problem.

    Lol no not like soup :D.... you’d have a hard time swallowing sorghum or molasses lol.

    Eat it like you would jelly and jam with biscuits or toast. We always mixed a little butter in it. A little goes a long ways....

    No oil problem at all. All mechanical actually.
