The 2 times i have had valve stem/guide issues it was chalked up to oil starvation. Ive galled them in the guide and bent pushrods and ive had them float at high rpm and kiss a piston or click a neighbor valve but never broken a stem.
What do you reckon the cause was there @OLDSKOOLERnWV

No Sir not last night. I’ve went over everything with a fine tooth comb, although the piston / valve clearance is closer on this setup it will work..... I found the biggest contributor to my problem though, or should I say contributor(s). Some of the problem stems from the machine shop.... oversight on their part but helped create a problem.

Eat it like you would jelly and jam with biscuits or toast. We always mixed a little butter in it. A little goes a long ways....tony97905, 1951 ford, singlescrewshaker and 14 others Thank this. -
