I agree with you. Stop the blame game. Stop the parents that want the schools to raise their children. Stop the medications that are given to the children that are unnecessary. Parents do your job at home first. I raised mine alone and never expected anyone else to do my job. I spanked, and restricted them when necessary, with love. No they are not perfect but they are respectful adults with responsible lives.

1st grade Mrs.Repp had a paddle her husband made with alot of holes. Aerodynamic marvel.

 

My dad used a razor strop — after the first lick forgot all about doing wrong — only took a couple sessions

 

My mom would use a belt, switch, broomstick, shoe, whatever was available.

Had a vice principal in elementary school had a paddle 3' long past the handle. You'd swear he took ya airborne.

 

Last one I got was in the ninth grade by a coach. I had three coming. The first one I lost my sight. The second one my right lung collapsed. The third one, I couldn't breathe because both nuts hit my throat cavity at the same time from trying to catch my breath with one workable lung. He got his message across.

 

You guys musta been real bad at getting caught.....

Now I know who not to call if 'in I need to hide a body...
