This guy seems pretty legit. I’ve been watching his stuff for about a year. Good read about diesel additives. Yes he is using the friction test but he uses it properly. Not like those snake oil salesmen.

BTW I don’t use winter treatment. Only gelled up one time and it was at home over a long and cold weekend. Got it running enough to get it in the shop and was fine the next morning. No filter change.

Then you or your kinfolk use it like I do. Might be something just us "hicks" do, in which case, long live us hicks.

I just watched that video a couple days ago and was surprised of the results he came up with on the diesel additives.

I've watched a few other videos from him and seems like a decent, legit guy, imo.

That's what I thought but couldn't remember for certain.

Now I've had to look up behoove because more I thought about it less sure I was on the meaning. I always thought it was to benefit or concerns like it would behoove you to think about the long term or it behooves me in your lack of planning.

Turns out it means a duty or responsibility to do something.

That video is what got me wondering again considering we just talked about it.

I've got a little bump every once in awhile under acceleration and a little roughness to the idle alog with the ever so slightest whisp of black smoke at idle. I average 5.5 mpg currently which I wasnt thinking was too bad all things considered.

With an ISX the idle sucks because of the fuel system ( FIMC? ) I put this oil in and smooth as butter. Without it it’s choppy as ####. Both this engine and the last one. Completely different engines and accessories.
