TQL SUCKS!!!!

 

I mean, a quick search shows 23 pages of posts about TQL, and a quick sampling of the first two or so pages shows a bunch of negative posts.

 

TQL sucks, but a death in your family is not their responsibility or the responsibility of their client who they are working for to move their frieght. You agreed to take a load from point A to point B and have it delivered on time. There are consequences if you can't follow through with the terms of the ratecon, and that's just part of being a responsible and professional adult in this business. Everybody has emergencies that make it important that they get home ASAP. That doesn't mean you stop what you're doing for a day or longer to ponder your next move, or to grieve. Suck it up, get the job done and get home.

This year and 2 years ago my house and my parents house was evacuated while I was on the road because of the wild fires in California. Much of that time I couldn't reach anybody at home because the fire and power outages took out the cell phone towers. I finished the load I was on, then high-tailed it home empty.

Sorry if this attitude makes me an A-hole, but my personal problems don't make a bit of difference to clients who are relying on me to finish a job.

 

How many tens of thousands are you willing to pay for that?

You won't be much good to your family if you're bankrupt from abandoning a load. Not being a tough guy, just living in reality. You just said "IF" I owned my own trucks. Well guess what, I do own my truck and trailer, and if I have a family emergency, I need to make sure I have a viable company making money after the emergency is over. I'm glad you don't have those concerns, but some of us do.
