Yeah, it's the schmoe loaders, you didn't piss them off, did you? I can feel for your situation, when I hauled blacktop, these schmucks that ran the plant, if they didn't know you, they'd hit the switch before you stopped and would get on the cab and the rolled up tarp, ha, ha, big joke. You don't have to put up with that BS, I'd tell the boss to have a nice day, and move on too.
Press the issue or let it go?

Figure out a different way to load so that you're not piling up on the front.

I understand you need a job, we all do. Just not this one.
I'd tell the dude to lick my nuts and go eat ramin for a couple of weeks.

i am not familiar with this type of tarping system, so let me ask a question or 2..
can you unroll the tarp down to maybe the catwalk area, THEN run it back up and over the load, and pull on the cables?
or, can you unroll say a few feet of it, and hang it down over the top of the trailer?
in the end, if THIS gets under your skin, what are you going to do if you get another job, and you get sent to a different address than what's on the bill's, or the load is not ready and you either have to wait, of go to another building, miles away?
in this industry, we get whacked all the time with "under the skin" problems......you either handle them with "grace", or go job hopping, as no job is 100% perfect......like mine was, before i retired.
it's the way it is.Dave_in_AZ, BigDog Trucker and Tx Countryboy Thank this. -
