U have to look after your equipment and the dipwads loading you. No matter which trailer ur pulling ,company equipment or your own , its up to u to speak up if u need it loaded a certain way.

I have told the forklift guy to stop ramming the rub rails on my flatbed, company equipment.. Im sure they told all their buddies i am a dick and i hope that driver impales himself... Guess what i dont care..u load it the way i want it and without damaging anything or ill make sure their ### is the one over the fire not mine.

Ur boss seems like a disrespectful mfer. A good boss would go to fight for their driver especially with what u told him ....

If they load to much in ur trailer and cant get the tarp over it , if it was me, all the product is coming out and then they can load me correctly. They would learn real fast how to load those trailers. Dont be afraid to stick up for urself... Its needed out here.

    Good luck to you.

Exactly. Dump it right in their yard and tell them to do it again but do it right.

If you don’t want to go that extreme tell them to bring a loader over and fix it up.

I’ve gotten overflowing or off center loads of gravel. Usually the loader guy sees it and fixes it before I even ask. If they miss it I call them and they come fix it...

This is where application of workplace violence is necessary. But don't do it on my say so. There are certain things that I just wont let go. (Pun intended) and the other party will pay in blood at least.

How about this for fun... Try a trailer with no tarp at all on it. See what happens. If they just slam that dust into the trailer as usual as if there is a tarp there then your problem is with the mill.

As far as the situation. It will never change. Today, tomorrow, a year or 10 these kinds of people never change. Hell itself will just have to freeze before maybe they will say that they are wrong.

So, find some other work. Which may be a bit of a challenge out where you are at. In any way you cook it, its no good for you no good for your dense hard headed owner and no good for the mill. Or even the Law.

I have recognized people like that in life and they go around looking for trouble on their own agenda. I have left the work place and find something to do rather than play into their hands with a application of violence that will not get anything accomplished there. The situation is too far gone.

The next time so and so makes words to you like that, make sure you two are in a area full of witnesses and that you are already on your way out the door to find a new employer. Tell him exactly what you think of his theory and then deck him. And leave it lay. Who knows. People like that kind of using or talk is like a snake in the grass, they only understand they did wrong when you finally take the head off with a shovel.

I say it's your fault for getting rough with it out of anger....instead of shoveling it off like a grown up that knows his job

If that is actually occurring, then it's time to walk. Management has lost control or has become complacent. Pain only follows.

Are mud flaps required on a truck with a trailer?

Op show the pictures of the sawdust loaded on your tarp to your boss. Ask him how you should prevent that situation from happening.
Work with your boss, not against him.

Once you’re loaded like that, back up a couple times and hit the brakes.
That load should settle down and make it easier to pull the tarp back.
