Have you tried other companies in Texas? At my company we had a rookie hit ice in Oklahoma and totaled out the truck. (One vehicle accident... his) He didn't get fired and didn't have to pay for damages. They did make him sit a week while they got him another truck.

@JonJon78 Let me ask you this. I am a very healthy guy, I have no health issues whatsoever. But flatbed companies require to stand on one leg for 30 seconds or they send you home.
For some reason, I don't have the balance. I need to work with a personal trainer to gain that. I have no physical issue preventing me from doing it. It just has not been something I ever thought about until I got into trucking. -
@Jenn72 Hire me.

I think provided you are able to complete the rest of the "physical assessment" with no problems you would be fine. The tarp lifting and jumping up on the trailer is pretty simple.4mer trucker Thanks this.

No, I talked to a couple of skateboard companies they all said if you can't do that they send you home.

Ya I dont know then. Maybe try tankers. I highly recommended starting out in something other than Van...
Best of luck.Last edited: Nov 17, 2019

You need home time? Why aren't you looking for a local gig?
