I think someone else needs to chill. Maybe learn to direct his anger in the right direction. Towards TQL. Not the forum.
REO6205 Thanks this. -

I wasn't picking on you or your grammar and most people here realized that.
You don't have to take the advice you've been given here and you don't have to like it either but you need to dial your hostility down a notch and keep your responses civil.
If you can't do that you need to find yourself another forum. Fair enough?SL3406 Thanks this. -
My Dad got really I'll once shortly before he passed just before Thanksgiving 2 years ago. He would have passed if not gone to hospital, bleeding from blood thinners.
And it was just me and him.
I had loads booked and it was a 4 day weekend. They got him stable and alert, and the agent was like," Please don't abandon the load, no one is gonna take it."
So the old man is like,"I'm ok now, go."
And I did. Didn't want to, but I did it.
After he had passed on as I was handling his funeral arrangements, I told everyone what everyone already knows, that the callousness of this world is just that.
Life moves pretty fast. And it doesn't stop.
It's a next man up world.
And it's always been that way. Most people aren't really in tune with it until a situation arises that brings it to the forefront.
If your Dad enjoyed playing cards, I'm certain they have a game going now.SL3406, DUNE-T, Rideandrepair and 3 others Thank this. -
My parents are both in their late 80's and my home time always includes time with them as well as my immediate family. They all know there is a possibility that something may happen while I'm gone, and realize that I will be home just as soon as humanly possible, and they will deal with it until I return. I always tell my family that I love them, and try to be the best I can to them, because one day it will be the last time I see them. Honestly I'm more worried about something happening to me out of town and my family having to deal with it. Whenever I'm out of my truck, I always make sure my wallet is in my pocket so I don't lay around unidentified for days in a morgue in some little town in the middle of nowhere.

Rather than cast aspersions on people you don't know, OP, it might be worth examining what they're saying. Your situation is a hard one, and it sucks. My heart goes out to you. But here's the thing, man. This is a time critical business in a lot of cases. You take a man's coin, you do that man's job. That's the obligation we all have. I think that's the point that a lot of folks are trying to make to you. Sometimes you've got to make a hard decision to fulfill the obligation that you yourself have willingly taken.
