I’ve finally got my Visa and made my way down to Williston, North Dakota.

Experienced Albertan ready to take on the American market seeing as ours is going in the ####er.

I’ve spoken to a fair amount of guys down here so far but I wanted to get some insight from your guys IF there are any owner operators on here.

I currently am just waiting on one last number before I can get my ND license. I have my own truck and tanker trailer.

When I worked up there I preferred oil, usually not a cluster, oil doesn't freeze valves shut.

I would assume with water you always go over the top in winter.

I've been at it here in the Bakken going on 9 years as a company driver, mostly doing production water to disposals with a gear pump. The salt content keeps freezing issues to a minimum, unless it gets 30+ below zero & you can't unload for several hours.
I also occasionally do fresh water injections with a vac. You need reliable logistics in sub-zero weather for fresh so you know it's not gonna be sitting on the truck for very long.
Things are on the slow side right now. It just seems to be due to the typical political uncertainties leading up to an election year.

I’m asking so I don’t think it would be recruiting.

Ah, I have a fully enclosed and heated pumper box so I’ve never had any issues up in Alberta. Even hauling cold lake water on a -30 day.
