I was 85 miles towards my pick up this morning when I got a pplan. I stopped to call my DM and it turns out my load had been canceled and no one informed me about it.
So he deadheaded me to where I was and sent a new load. Now I'm going to Columbus, OH instead.

Got to final and saw it was removed. Called him and he said.planner said it was dispatched on another driver.

I'm glad you had a heads up about that. I have had it happen to me, but I got to the shipper before I found out.
Other times it has been the other driver coming in just after me that got hosed out of the load.

Not really sure how the system can dispatch 2 or more drivers on the same load.

That all sounds a bit scary.

The bay area is not truck friendly at all, in any way. Even more than Chicago.

    FerrissWheel and dwells40 Thank this.

Not at all, especially not in an extended frame with a 53ft skateboard with a 10ft spread. But at least the 2000 miles between will be truck frindly ;)

At least I have strobe lights that traffic can ignore while i muscle my way into dock.

My QC went haywire today just as I was starting out this morning.
I had no buttons, keyboard or touch screen so I could not change my status. It also lost the connection for a few hours. Even trying to connect an external mouse didn't work.

I only had about 7.5 hours to work with today so I shut down before my 8 hours were up.
When I looked at the Day Log it showed me driving almost 6.5 hours straight, when I had taken a short break and a bit longer at a Walmart during my drive.
This new software keeps me on the drive line even if the engine is shut off, and even if I power down everything to reboot the system (which I did at each stop).

It cleared up just before I stopped. Luckily it had the correct GPS positions for when I started and ended the day, with nothing in between because it was all logged as drive time with no interruptions.
I skipped my fuel stop, also lucky because I don't need more fuel for this trip.

16 minutes left on my 70 when I went off duty, and I had to shut down a bit earlier than I wanted.
Hopefully it will still be working correctly in the morning; otherwise I'll be going to the Columbus terminal for a replacement.

The other strange thing is that the speaker assignment changed.
I had both set to internal, and this morning the Text to Speech was set to external.

The black box and the antenna cable have been replaced before, but most of the same problems persist.
I guess I'll just live with it until I turn the truck in, probably next year sometime.

    FerrissWheel Thanks this.

Here for the nite. About 12 miles from final.
No address on dispatch. Csr sent me an address for a post office that's close by lol

Called the number and got directions from that. Hope I can find it. Google maps was no help except seeing alot of buildings.
Next load picks up 10 miles away anytime after 1500 tomorrow and goes to modesto ca for a 7 am appt on the 22nd

    FerrissWheel Thanks this.
