I don't know how well this shows up in a picture. Gonna put her back together when I get the head back from a shave but we's gonna be running on borrowed time.

Yep. Always have a count on the rags you stuff in a hole. I can the say a Cloth shop rag will go thru the geartrain on a 97 series 60 Detroit, make it from Clyde, Ohio to Chicago, IL before it sucks it up the oil pickup and shuts it down for low oil psi. No damage done. Had to have a chat with that guy.singlescrewshaker, tony97905, 1951 ford and 18 others Thank this. -

When you get older and spend half the day trying to remember where you set down your cheater glasses you mark everything. I'm pretty meticulous on laying things out like they came off even thou I've done this a few times.

I bought it at Menards but Amazon or their website. Worx pressure washer. The bottle adapter is sold separately. I wanted it for bugs in the summer and cleaning the back of the trailer in the winter.
It would work great for cleaning your and doc's bootssinglescrewshaker, tony97905, 1951 ford and 18 others Thank this. -
Take a look at the air compressor intake hose. A small hole in that hose can cause that sound.singlescrewshaker, tony97905, 1951 ford and 15 others Thank this.

If you got a boost leak it won’t take long before your DEF is plugged solid.singlescrewshaker, tony97905, 1951 ford and 17 others Thank this.

Since it was just in for service, it sounds like something was left loose or improperly installed.
On the intake manifold front left of the engine there is a v band that hooks the charge air pipe to the intake. Behind the v band is a flat red o-ring that has a bad habit of either squishing out or the v-band stretches and doesn't seal. Might be able to catch it with soapy water when the truck is idling.
Could also be unrelated, CAC as mentioned, blown manifold gasket, etc.singlescrewshaker, tony97905, 1951 ford and 20 others Thank this.
