Fine Tune prices?

Guess i’m not quite talented enough on this forum just yet, to figure out how to separate the quotes, sorry

 

Mosfets are quite different than bipolar transistors. Most radios made in the past 15 years no longer use bipolar transistors which are more durable under adverse conditions except for the new Palomar ERF2030+ which has only been out a couple years. What worked in 1995 doesn't always work on a radio built in 2005.

Just tell me what happened. I am perfectly capable of deciding how I want to feel about it. Usually I don’t care, there’s not much that affects me(or you) that I can do anything about, so why waste time worrying about it.

to keep it on the subject, I got a Ranger rci39 from smoking Joe’s in November of 19 and it works pretty good. Although it’s fixing to get sent back for the SECOND time to in less than six months to Ranger for warranty repair, the volume knob keeps coming loose inside the case and stops working. Has to be soldered back to the board or whatever it’s attached to.
So I wouldn’t recommend any ranger radio , the quality is obviously garbage,
I got this one specifically because it fits in the cubby of a W-900L and the owner doesn’t allow Amps.

 

More like $700+ for a 955 now!
