There is a DM Bowman Trucking with several divisions. Such as Flatbed Frederick and Regional Van out of Williamsport Md (Main HQ etc)
They are not a bad company but demand professionalism. In my time there I was one of their top drivers believe it or not for the work they assigned me. I have had not too much trouble there but ultimately we parted ways out of necessity. -
They are known to be cheap
-
I live 30 minutes from their terminal.
No APU, no idle, pay they quote us after all bonuses.
Go to YRC, XPO, or Averitt insteadx1Heavy Thanks this. -
I don't believe that they are that stupid to impose no idle and no APU. Might as well start shelling out hotel bills.
I know they were pretty strict in my time with the old trip master to where we shut down engine and restarted at EVERY SINGLE traffic light that made us stop. Sometimes we drift downgrade with engine off. For oh... 70 dollars cash extra bonus per week keeping idle below 3%. Whatever savings they had were eaten up by starter motors that went out every other month.
That criteria of no APU and no Idle takes that and any other company off my list of employers. Winter is here and frankly it's tough for those who are not able to retain heat like overweight teddy bears under a pile of blankets and a candle going inside the cab.Vic Firth Thanks this. -
I believe idle was under 20 and over 90. But I am not positive on that info..x1Heavy Thanks this.

DM Bowman is the worst company I ever worked for and I've worked for a Long List of Companys .
x1Heavy and Aamcotrans Thank this. -
So in other words freezing humans or burning up humans. Great. Shows what little value we humans are as truckers.TruckerOllie Thanks this.

Sounds like a real scum bag operation, those are inhumane conditions.
