Very sound advice!!^^^^
I'm a cash, comcheck or EFS kind of guy. I can take debit/credit cards, but am very selective on who from. I do ask, before I head out, how they're going to pay.
Unless it's somebody like you're going to deal with, I also tell them up front I'm taking a picture of the equipment and the VIN. If the check bounces, or you skip out on me, add a zero to the end of the amount due, because that's the amount the lien will be filed for. So far I've only had to threaten 1 company with a lien. We mutually agreed I will no longer work for them. -
Happy Birthday @Oxbow
To many more

So howdy from NW Montana.
I had to stop driving for health reasons last spring. Got that resolved, I leave for orientation again in a couple days.
I'm really happy to be eligible for rehire, and eager to get back on the road.

Thanks Gentlemen!
I am a fortunate person for sure. I am lucky to have a great family. Three kids that are all doing well in their respective lives. A son that puts up working with me and all that that entails. A wife who has put up with me for forty hard years, four grandkids that love spending time with each other, and a group of friends here on TTR whom, with one exception I have never met, that take the time and effort to wish me well.
Thank you all. I don't deserve any of this, but most definitely appreciate it. -
Happy birthday oxbow!

On my trip to the coast today I had one of those close calls that makes you think about how a few seconds can make a difference in how your day goes...
Road I take to get where I was going is Highway 199 which is the SW Oregon connection to the coast, and for those who haven't driven on it imagine the typical narrow, curvy canyon road.
Had some rocket genius in a yellow SUV come whipping around a corner half way in my lane (with a a guard rail and a cliff to my right, and a rock wall and their stupid ### to my left), and the tail end of their vehicle whipped out like they're some kind of rally racer drifting through turns. Responded with some slight braking and perhaps some few choice words.
Makes me kind of glad the place I delivered to was a challenge to back out of. Perhaps the extra bit of time spent there spared me from having a super annoying day..
