Depends on what your looking for like all big companies it has its good and bad. I have worked here for 2 years and can tell you you will never get home on time. I have been up to 10 days late getting home.Night dispatch is a joke trying to get a hold of them is like pulling teeth. You will sit round a trk stop most weekends waiting for your Mon delv appt. You will run with this company but only expect bout 1500-2000 mi per week.Trying to get anything fixed on your truck can be trying at times as I've been told that service appts are mere suggestions of when they will get to your truck, you can sit up to 10hrs after you reach a term for service.I am currently looking to get another job.

That is how ignorant trucking companies work anyway, I was off the road for a year and a half and started immediately with a nice outfit in my hometown. If they tell u to go back to school, and trainers and all that BS then that is you que not to work for that outfit.

Usually the training thing (for CDL holders) is just another scam to get solos to team. Not as bad as fleece-teaming.

You would be wise to look for another company. After working for this company for
over 3 years with a good driving and work record i was still treated like i was hired
two weeks ago.Almost every other trailer i pulled had bad tires. They have a terrible
saftey record and DOT pulls you in frequently for inspections. They searched thru my
belongings when i had my truck serviced in Van Buren and stole a 150 watt power
converter and never told me they took it.Their trucks are equipped with idle control
devices that turn the truck off and on to save fuel. This company manages to survive
by constantly hiring new drivers to fill its trucks.Almost every driver i talked with had
little trucking experience and couldnt wait to finish there 1 year contract and find
another job.If you are an experienced driver avoid this company.

Hi everyone. Ive been on this web site for about a week now. I enjoy all your stories and conversation and check a few time a day on whats new. I leave for fort wayne IN tomarrow (7/19/09) for my c1 training and im signed up to work for USA Truck. Ive read alot of good and alot of bad but have gathered that as long as I do as im told and get my loads there on time and dont complain that I will be alright. lol... I have good work ethicts and im dedicated to anyone that gives me a paycheck to take care of my family, so I think I will be ok. Im excited to get started. nervouse about the unknown but anxious. I worked for CNC Machine companies for the past 17 years and im ready to try something new. And trucking has always been on the back of my mind, so why not... Might as well go for it. I hope to hear more from you guys and hope you include me into the trucking world.

I can't believe that ANYONE who has driven for 15 years would ever ask anything about USA truck. Any professional driver would know that USA is a driving school, they flip drivers faster than McDonalds flips hamburgers. All I can say is run, run as fast as you can away from USA.

Fool....poor silly fool, you'll learn. USA for the most part hates drivers, think they are all better than anyone who drives a truck. They don't realize that drivers come from a variety of backgrounds and education. You won't like driving for USA so count your coins and be wary, be very wary. I drove for them for over 16 months, just got my $500 retainer back but without the prommissed interest but that's ok, at least I got the $500. Had to write to everyone in USA but did get the money. Interesting enough it came in two envelopes, two different checks, $350 and $150 one from USA logistics and one from USA Truck. Bet you didn't know you could pay $1500 up front for your training did you. They forget to tell you that until you sign the contract and you find out from someone else, now your stuck for one year and end up paying $1100 at the end of the year anyway. You've been had my friend, good luck to you.
