I got a call from Werner today, said I was approved and they would send me to Dallas this Friday for orientation to run southern regional. The guy that called me said I'd be running between Texas and Georgia mostly, and when I asked about pay he dodged the question and simply said I would be making about $600-$800 a week. Is there anyone out there running the same region that can give me a little bit of insight?

I'm on the fence because I've been talking with Maverick a lot, a I'm seriously considering them, but I'm still waiting for approval from them. I stopped worrying about Werner when I read everything I did on here, and had pretty much decided that I wouldn't drive for them, but after they called I decided to get some more info. Mostly I'm looking for info from someone who's run this region with them and can give first hand information.

I am leaving sunday for dallas. I was told that after my 300, i would be teamed for 28 cents a mile split. I'm having alot of doubts about this company.

I haven't heard much about Werner aside from what I've read on here and my dads short experience with them, but I'm not crazy about them. I called the recruiter again and he still dodged the question. Oh well, Maverick called me back and I was approved. I'm off to Little Rock to start orientation on Sunday. Best of luck to you at Werner.

I have exactly 6 months, and the recruiter I talked to seemed hesitant at first, but after she verified my employment she was VERY quick to get me to Little Rock.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, I'm certain, but as far as I know yes. The only thing I would imagine that wouldn't count as OTR is if you're running a local job in a daycab and you're home every night.

If you cross a state line that's over the road

Anyone doing a regional or dedicated run for them? How do you like it?
