I may have misunderstood his meaning, but that's the way it came across to me.

Of course where and when I grew up, most any kid in high school that had a pickup had a rifle and shotgun hanging in the gun rack in the back window, so times have certainly changed. Now they're behind the back seat!

I didn’t know that was an open carry state. Might have to move a little further East!

I have a Henry 22 lever action that my grand Dad gave me....it and a brick of long rifle shells were always with me. (High school)

Back then we threw rocks in the air and busted them. And yes I believe I still can with that little rifle

When mama and I got our carry permits one of the things that got brought up was if a permit carrier has a gun in the car and leaves it in there if they step out....the passenger better have a permit also.

One of those things you don't always think about.

Dicks started out in Binghamton as a bait and tackle store.
I worked for them in the mid 80’s when we were only two stores in the Binghamton area. If you needed a gun, ammo, fishing pole, lures, bait, or anything outdoors Dicks was your go to store. They were all about the outdoorsman back then. It absolutely sickens me to see the direction Ed Stack has taken them. Richard Stack (Dick) must be rolling over in his grave at what they’ve become.
