Takes three seals, one on each trap, and one on the tarp handle. :yes2557: IDK exactly how it was done, because I had to remain on the truck at all times during the time he was loading. I didn't think to go look when we stopped for fuel. :biggrin_2552:

I've had seals twice. Both times it was feathermeal or poultry meal.

It's just 3 little ziplock doohickies. Like garbage bag ties with numbers on them.

Did they make you take them off? At the tortilla plant, they said they weren't allowed to remove ours, we had to do it. :biggrin_25511:

As I recall, the receivers couldn't have cared less and I doubt they even noticed them. Just said go ahead and dump.

Interesting. LOL You'd of thought we were going to steal the load we took with the list of things that hubby had to sign and agree to. And then the receiver is so paranoid that they won't take the bands off, but have to verify the numbers after they are removed. Its nuts. [IMG]

Things are picking up... Called grain merchant and had more loads going. Been a long time since had a pick of loads. Only problem is the rates are down and may be dropping. This pays per mile less than what he said he was basing rates on.

Still way too many hoppers around here. I have no idea how the ones who have drivers stay in business. Eventually they will thin out.

    Pharm

Are your rates going down? Hard to believe they're getting this low. I guess you're getting hurt more by the deadhead miles.

No, not that I've noticed. I've done some repeats lately all at the same rate as April. I've noticed they haven't gone up since fuel is 40 cents more than then though.

(I don't think it could get any cheaper though)

Going to another elevator today. Hauled there yesterday...supposed to take 65,000 bushels of wheat out. Supposed to switch to another elevator tomorrow. Jumping us from one elevator to another.

This particular co-op branch has 13 or so elevators. Mid-Kansas the biggest has around 35-40 elevators. Another grain company hauls for Mid-Kansas.
