So a lady was claiming something fell off and hit her car while I was making a turn.
The issue is I do a really good Pretrip and nothing was on my trailer that shouldn’t have been or wasn’t secured.
That and I had been running 65 in county roads up and down hills and Hillary’s and hard corners. If there WAS anything on my truck no way would it have survived my driving for 20+ miles of a mad max movie set. The sheriffs report even said he didn’t observe anything that could have fallen off or was missing.
She changed her story from it was a rusty piece of metal 6inches across to it could have been something laying in the road.
I took good pics and sent them to my company but they never got them and now my SD card is saying corrupted files (not all of them)
what’s the best way to deal with my company like this? I have a feeling I’m gonna be in trouble for only having a few photos but nothing I can do at this point.
Should I have even pulled over when she waved me down or just kept driving?

She's trying to scam you and your company out of a few dollars.
Tell your company it didn't happen and let the company handle it.
If you talk too much, the company will think you're hiding something.
Just say, "It didn't happen" and nothing more.dunchues, Dennixx, Snake Farmer and 12 others Thank this. -
The images should still be in your sent mail folder.
Hopefully the officer noted on the report that her story changed.
Keep a disposable camera in your truck just in case.lovesthedrive, Coffey, D.Tibbitt and 2 others Thank this. -
Can she prove it was from your truck?
I wouldn't worry about it. She may have pictures of some kind of damage from something. Unless she has some evidence that it came off your truck, I wouldn't worry about it.
If she had dash cam images of something flying off and hitting her, she might have a case. Companys are used to all kinds of scams.lovesthedrive and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
Unless she has dash cam footage showing something coming off your trailer I would do exactly what Chinatown suggested and not worry about it.
lovesthedrive, Flat Earth Trucker, Woodys and 2 others Thank this. -

2) if you did drive over an object, and it hit her car, i do believe it's called a road hazard, and i do not believe you are at fault.
3) your camera has a built in memory, your company can view those, since you lost the others.
4) depending on your camera, go to that website and see if updated drivers are available for it
5) like @Chinatown said, it does sound like a scam.
6) always carry a disposable camera. they are cheap, you get them at nearly any drug store, walmart, etc.
back up your digital camera with this old fashion camera, use up ALL the film...!!!!!!lovesthedrive and Mototom Thank this. -
Shes a scam artist thinking shes gonna get a big payday. Just another lazy slob that wants a handout from the hard working men and women . it is getting crazy out there.
cjb logistics, lovesthedrive, Flat Earth Trucker and 6 others Thank this. -
For my last 10 or so years, I used a great camera. I used it for things all the time. THIS was the camera I used to document things. Nothing much you can do about it at this point. However, I do highly recommend you make sure your camera is in good shape ALL THE TIME, and get one of those accident kits from your company that has a disposable camera for a backup. Take photos of everything, even the tags of vehicles that might have seen what happened. Everything you can provide might be helpful later.
lovesthedrive Thanks this.
