I did not have a check list. I just acted like they wasn't there and talked out loud as I checked out my truck. They use snap hooks on the release to the fifth wheel. When you snap the hook put the spring opening to the front of the cab.

Snap hooks? What are those? Hey notarps what is if any is Mavericks stop pay? Do they offer thye weekend pay anymore? I'm going to call recruiting and talk to them again. Let ya know what they say.
-
It is a hook that keeps the fifth wheel release from being pulled. Not sure what the stop pay is now. 1st stop did not count the ones after that did.. The weekend pay used to be 800 miles, but it was changed to I think a flat 150 bucks. One of the current drivers could probably tell you more precise info.
-
That was quick. They said average miles is 1800 to 2200 miles a week. I would start at .36 a mile. She said orientation pay was $500. She said 1 week orientation as long as they can verify my past coil experiance with my last company. I don't know what to think about the miles. I was hoping more miles than that in a week. If anyone has better info on average miles a week let me know. Thanks everyone.

Seems like a little discrepancy in what the recruiters tell ppl, but then again you are in IL. Are you asking them about spec or flat? I was told .35 to start. It's only a penny, but still dif. lol
-
I asked about the flat bed side. US division. She said home every weekend and .36 a mile. I can't justify going for 1800 to 2200 miles a week. I don't know gator. Maybe it has to do with experience. I have 3 years experience. 2 years on flatbed.
-
If it wasn't for the lack of miles I would be heading to North Little Rock,AR this weekend. It would be different if you could make up the difference else where ie; tarp pay, stop pay. Maybe check into other places or wait it out a little longer and see what happens with freight. I understand it is slow but if freight is that slow what is the point to hire drivers and only give them 2000 miles a week.
-
I think they offer .35-36cpm right now depending on how recent your flat experience is regardless of how much you have total. If its recent you get the latter.
-
If there are any Maverick flatbed drivers out there what is the average miles a week you get? My last job said average 1500 to 2000 and I rarely seen less than 2500.

There is a couple of them that post on here. Give them time to shut down and they will probably log on.
