Cabover is the correct term, the K100 Aerodyne is a cabover, best one ever in my opinion.

Use to run Texas and the North east with this truck in the 90’s. 1978 model Glider, 400 Cummins / 12513 / 3:90 Rockwell’s. / 24.5 tall. No power steering & no Jakes. One of my favorites in the Cabover line.
TheLoadOut, spsauerland and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
@OLDSKOOLERnWV my dad said that ole green cornbinder was the best pulling, money making truck he ever had. Cpl 838 with a different button. Dont know which but she pulled like a raped ape. By 300k she was ready for a refresh but that was cheap
Rideandrepair, KANSAS TRANSIT and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this. -
This engine I’m running is a N14 block / crank / rods &pistons, but still a BC at heart. Built to CPL 625.Dino soar, Rideandrepair and KANSAS TRANSIT Thank this. -
@Brettj3876 Adams Trucking use to have a GMC General with a BC4, they say it was a total beast when it came to pulling. My understanding that engine is in a dump truck in Ohio now....
Rideandrepair and KANSAS TRANSIT Thank this. -
CPL 838 is a BC4 315 HP, that is what I have in my 1990 Pete 372, haven't pulled a load with it yet, but it is the smoothest running, easiest starting, truck I have ever owned.
RubyEagle, TheLoadOut, Dino soar and 2 others Thank this. -
The engine I had in this truck was a 1986 BC4 @315 horsepower, CPL 0749.Rideandrepair and KANSAS TRANSIT Thank this. -

Now you have my attention.
They were nice looking trucks those cabovers.
I spent a little time in a Kenworth cabover and in a Freightliner cabover. The shifters had a weird feel to them, not at all like a conventional.
It was an experience, but I did not like the climbing in and out. And I did not like that the actual front of the truck was only a few feet in front of where I was sitting.Last edited: Nov 27, 2019
