I usually tare at 34,700 completely full

Im not up to snuff on the new stuff but i thought most fleets could do that with duals, twin 150s might be pushing it?
-
I scale at just over 35K. If I ran SS, on trailer as well, it'd be just over 34K.
I know Navajo was big on them, but I've seen more of their stuff with duals.
I never believed in them.stillwurkin Thanks this. -
I always see those squiggly marks on the road, as they pull onto the side with their super single flopping, grinding under the rim. What a $$ saving idea.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

Super singles look cool until one blows and you can't go anywhere.
Dave_in_AZ and stillwurkin Thank this. -
Not just that but in many cases if you blow out you're going to be replacing a rim too. That's not very cost effective.Echo5kilo and stillwurkin Thank this.

Back in 2011 I was assigned a tractor with super singles at Poly Trucking. I figured they'd be a pain to chain due to the larger size/weight of the chains. Never had to thankfully.
