    Hello hoping for some advice
I was about to hit my one year at my company. Never had any issues and was told I was one of their best drivers out of 5 or 6 of us on our shift. Our shift was over night to local stores. I was driving to a delivery one night and slowing down to exit when as usual checking my mirrors seen another big rig coming in my lane. I've seen many trucks close to me but this one wasnt close it was coming in my lane. As a natural reaction I slightly turned my wheel to the right I was already in the slow right lane. As soon as I did that my front bumber hit the freeway barrier and because my load was at its limit it was a pretty hard hit. As soon as I hit my hood popped I came to a stop the other big rig kept going not sure if he was dosing off or what not. I seen many trucks swerve on the road at night. No ticket was issued I had damaged the front end of the tractor my load or trailer had no damage nobody was hurt. The accident was not caused by negligence on my part. I went home that day and 2 of my bosses told me take the night off the next day just because they knew any accident can shake you up. Nobody at my work place had a thought of me being fired after the report was given no ticket issued the trailer and load were fine no injuries and the tractor was sent in to be repaired. No pictures were taken by anyone except myself. The weekend passed and I get a call telling me I'm terminated because a higher up who sits in an office in another state felt I should have done something different. I'm not sure what I was suppose to do. Now it's been 5 months and I still to this day believe just like everyone else at my work place including fellow employees and supervisors I was terminated and should not have been. Any advice on if there is anything I could do to still fight against the decision or if it's worth it. Im a single mom with 3 kids who was very appreciative of this job that was local and only minutes from my home. I took a big loss financially because along with my pay I was getting my vertan apprenticeship pay on top of that. I knew all the routes and had a good relationship with all the stores I delivered to. I know my bosses fought for me but I still feel the decision was wrong. I was given unemployment because of being terminated but it doesnt compare to what I was bringing home.

Best advice would be to simply move on... and stop looking back.
Also, watch out for the fire and brimstone wannabees that will pounce on your thread and eagerly tell you that you were totally at fault and that you got everything that you deserve. Screw ‘em....and picture them sitting at their computers wearing nothing but two black socks and a Mickey Mouse hat.
Go get yourself a better job.

I'm sorry to her you were fired. However it seems you should of stayed in your lane and/or slowed down even more.
Always stay in your lane cause if you dont you can be at fault.

    Non sequitur...

    Definition of non sequitur
1 : an inference (see inference sense 2) that does not follow from the premises (see premise entry 1 sense 1) specifically : a fallacy resulting from a simple conversion of a universal affirmative (see affirmative entry 1 sense 3) proposition or from the transposition of a condition and its consequent (see consequent entry 1 sense 1)
2 : a statement (such as a response) that does not follow logically from or is not clearly related to anything previously said

I don't think it was her fault; now, go back to sleep.

Sleep is for the sluggard. LOL.

Don;t need much of that sleep.

The situation was unfortunate but the OP ran out of space concerned with too many things on the plate at once. I tend to have the attitude that whatever is in the mirror from other people IS NOT my problem unless they try to sneak by me inside my turning space. Other than that I tend to keep a look out for the corners. All of them.
