The newer e-450's once they changed to the 6.0's away from the 7.3's were coil front ends same as the trucks. Although after all the headaches my current F350 is giving me.. I'm rethinking my truck situation...
E450 why is it lower towing capacity than a F450?

I had an 06 E-450.It had less HP due to turbo size (from space in the engine compt)the air cooler was different for the same reason. Also it had same size tires and brakes as a 350.I am sure all of that contributes to less towing capacity along with no goosenck/5th wheel option.

Due to this the van's didn't have near the problem the trucks had with blown head gaskets and so forth. -
