that could be, i do not follow the eco system, but i do shut off the ECO driving mode in my car.

the way i "see it", is that any animal that is breeding no matter thier numbers, and cause or create havoc, such as deer running into the road, and people crash and sometimes die, or wild turkeys or wild hogs that wander into our yards, and attack us, deserve to die.

i personal "see" no use for deer, wild hogs, or turkeys, NOT grown, raised on farms for the sole use of the food chain for us.

(i think) the wild animal population can be better controlled under farming circumstances, where they can be treated for diseases, where out in the wild, they can contract a disease, and spread it to another animal or human that it may attack.

so as i "see it", wild animals used for food consumption, out to be farmed,, maybe a "free range farm", where strict controls on thier health and growth can be monitored more closely.

then they need to be captured, and "fixed", then set free. that's one option.

as far as the eco system goes, we do not need those wild beasts, this will also kill off the coyotes, that wreak havoc in many neighborhoods as well, like taking someone's pet dog or cat. everything "wild" can be farmed. food is food, wild, or farmed. it's the food chain after all.

Yep. I spend more on 308 every year than practically anything else just trying to break the breeding cycle on my land.

They're born, 4 or 5 months later they're pregnant, 3-6 per litter. Wash, rinse, repeat for 10 years.

    They're like bugs.

Not enough for a big pig, unless you're planning on 4-5 shots.

The light bullets w/ the speed you need will fragment. The heavier bullets are too slow to penetrate.

With a short barrel you'll just piss them off with either loading. A .270 is the minimum safe round on most of the ranches here. Anything less than full power .30 caliber is dangerous.

300 BLK is a short case 30-30 equivalent, and is designed to knock down a bipedal 200 lb target hit in the upper chest, wound when aimed anywhere else. It's not a hunting round.
