I'm not a high dollar wrencher...
![]()
That matco cart I inherited from my youngest cause I was storing it and he owed me for hay....I didn't really want it.
There is one of those plastic Craftsman cases like in the bottom there sitting on each side of this truck.
Because of how I do things they work good....I use a hammer and wrench to loosen most every bolt but the big ones....then use the impact. I've found doing that it's pretty rare if I break off a bolt.
Other than my 3/8 set that I've had thirty five years the only higher dollar tools I have are specialty tools or bigger tools that I use alot.
I just bought a 15/16 wobble because it's the most used size impact I have and have broke a few cheaper sockets that size.
Where is everyone #5

I always get a kick out of the people that say I don't have the tools to work on a truck. Right here is pretty much all I used to tear down this motor.

Is that 3/4 12pt CAT head bolt socket? Should've hollered, I got one I would've loaned to you and likely told you to keep because the odds of me needing it again are slim to none if I can help it.cke, Feedman, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 12 others Thank this.

I think @Tall Mike posted a picture of Ariat boots the other day and I've always heard good things about them so I got me a pair of steel toe / waterproof boots....we'll see how they hold up. My last pair of Timberland Pro were starting to take on water which sucks when it's cold out, but to be fair they held
together pretty good doing LTL P & D and flatbed work for over a year.
cke, Feedman, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 17 others Thank this. -
