    So far I have used mine once and had no problems with them. If you follow directions on driving then you would be happy. If you chain up all the time probably not for you.

    No intended harshness or harassment.

    Going to reality check that a bit...... with my perspective.

    I carried both. Socks were to get out of iced over truck stops and parking lots if the roads were clear to run bare footed. Fast and easy if all you needed was a little extra traction.

    Chains were used if it was appropriate in order to get down the road to a safe spot to park.

    I carry the sissy-socks. Never used them. That's one good thing about the mid West - pretty flat.

    I’ve always’s tan 9mm chains, now that I drive slower I buy 7mm and can throw those babies with 1 hand blind folded.

    Stick to chains if you want ultimate traction.
